Emergency Lighting Battery Test Log Template

A test log for recording the routine duration tests on emergency lighting. It captures each luminaire by ID and location, its type and battery date, the switch location, the time the test started and finished, whether it passed, and any notes - the evidence that emergency lighting has been tested and works.

BS 5266 and the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 require emergency lighting to be tested and the results recorded. This log gives you that record and supports the documented information and emergency preparedness requirements of ISO 45001.

Built for BS 5266 and ISO 45001

The log supports the documented information and emergency preparedness requirements of ISO 45001 (clauses 7.5 and 8.2):

  • Each luminaire recorded by ID and location
  • Type and battery date captured for asset tracking and replacement
  • The duration test recorded with time on and time off
  • A clear pass or fail against each luminaire, with notes

What's Included in this Emergency Lighting Test Log
